PCB Decoupling Capacitor Solutions for Xilinx 7 Series FPGAs and Zynq®-7000 AP SoCs

​Designing power supplies for Xilinx 7 Series FPGAs and Zynq®-7000 All Programmable SoCs requires adaptability to ever changing load currents while meeting the tight voltage tolerances of the multiple rails on these devices.  One design technique enabling appropriate power supply response to both needs is providing sufficient decoupling capacitance per Xilinx device.

In an effort to simply this process, Xilinx provides device specific recommended Power Distribution System decoupling capacitor networks in two new user guides. For more information on the user guides and the suggested capacitors  mentioned in these guides see the tabs below.
